FAQ

  • How do I know if I'm eligible for the TNT?

The ideal candidate for this workshop has: (1) attended workshops at the introductory and advanced level, totaling at least 12 hours of training (2) practiced motivational interviewing and received individualized feedback on their own skills. However, anyone is welcome to participate. If you have not met the criteria listed above, please use the days before the training to perform some self-study. The course includes many review videos for your convenience.

  • Will I be certified when I finish this training?

No. You will receive a certificate as evidence of your participation, but there is no such thing as an MI certification from any training event.

  • Will I earn CEUs toward my license or credential?

No. This training will attract professionals from many fields (healthcare, social work, psychology, education, leadership, victim advocacy, etc.). Each profession has a different accrediting body for their licenses and credentials. Most accrediting bodies WILL NOT ACCEPT train-the-trainer events for CEUs.

  • What happens if I cannot attend one of the sessions?

We understand. You can still earn your certificate as long as you attend 4 out of 5 sessions throughout the week. Additionally, Tuesday and Wednesday's sessions are mandatory. Only Monday, Thursday, and Friday are eligible as day to be absent.

  • Will this event grant me admission to the MINT organization?

No. Although Dr. Watson is a member of MINT (Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers), this event is not sponsored by MINT, and therefore, does not grant anyone admission to MINT. Anyone who would like to join MINT will have to apply separately. If MINT your application is accepted, you'll have to attend the MINT-sponsored train-the-trainers event.

  • Are there discounts available?

Students and military personnel can use the code TNT24 at checkout for $100 off of the registration fee. Groups of 4 or more can email [email protected] to inquire about a discount.
